This award highlights Hale Law's deep commitment to community engagement and education in Southwest Florida. By recognizing outstanding educators through public participation, the firm not only celebrates teaching excellence but also fosters stronger community ties and inspires continued dedication to student success.
Hale Law, a Sarasota-based personal injury firm, proudly announces Elizabeth Shannon as the 2026 Hale Helps™ Teacher of the Year. This esteemed award celebrates an outstanding K-12 educator across Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte counties. Shannon was selected through a robust, community-driven process, garnering nominations and public votes from students, parents, and residents. Her recognition includes a complimentary cruise for two, provided as a $1,000 credit through Expedia Cruises of Sarasota, covering cruise fare and associated costs.
Now in its third successful year, the Hale Helps™ Teacher of the Year program has seen growing community participation since its 2024 launch. The 2026 selection involved nominations from March 1-29, with finalists determined by public engagement. Community voting, held between April 7-26, ultimately selected this year's winner. This program underscores Hale Law's dedication to acknowledging educators' invaluable contributions and supporting local schools.
The Teacher of the Year award is a cornerstone of Hale Law's broader Hale Helps™ community initiative, showcasing the firm's commitment to Southwest Florida. This initiative also includes the Hale Helps™ Scholarship for local high school seniors and the Hale Helps™ Backpack Giveaway, directly benefiting families. Hale Law, established in 2018, serves individuals and families across eight regional offices, extending its mission of support beyond legal services to enrich the community.
