The study, published in the World Journal of Pediatrics, features a randomized controlled trial involving 210 students. The exercise regimen consists of 45-minute sessions of rope-skipping and structured plyometric drills, such as hurdle hops and split squat jumps. Designed for real-world school settings, the program requires minimal equipment and is supervised by trained instructors to ensure movement quality and safety while gradually increasing intensity over the trial period.
If successful, this intervention offers a scalable, time-efficient, and cost-effective strategy for schools to support long-term metabolic health.
