Surcheros' record sales signify robust market demand for its Fresh-Mex concept and highlight the effectiveness of its loyalty program and strong franchise system. This success validates its growth strategy, positioning the brand for accelerated expansion and increased market share within the competitive fast-casual industry across the Southeast.
Surcheros, the rapidly expanding Fresh-Mex franchise, achieved a new single-day systemwide sales record during its Cinco de Mayo celebration. On May 5, 2026, the brand generated $302,335 in systemwide sales, marking its highest single-day total ever. Average sales per restaurant also saw an 8% increase year-over-year, rising from $6,234 in 2025 to $6,719 in 2026. A successful Cinco de Mayo promotion, rewarding loyalty members with 5x points, significantly boosted guest engagement and traffic.
"Our Cinco de Mayo performance powerfully demonstrates the strength of our franchise system, guest loyalty, and the escalating demand for the Surcheros experience," stated Luke Christian, Founder and CEO of Surcheros. "We continue building momentum as more guests connect with our fresh food, Southern hospitality, and community-focused culture."
Surcheros expands its Southeast footprint, strengthening same-store sales and increasing guest frequency. Its focus on customizable meals, operational simplicity, and hospitality attracts both guests and franchise interest. Recognized this year on Fast Casual's Top 100 Movers & Shakers list, Surcheros plans to accelerate franchise development and enhance the guest experience across key Southeast markets.
